Duty of Each Department

The director of this department takes orders from the county magistrate, and is responsible for managing the department's affairs and commanding and supervising department employees. The deputy director gives assistance to director for affairs management. If, for some reason, the director cannot perform his duties, the deputy director shall act in his stead. If, for some reason, the deputy director cannot perform duties on behalf of the director, the secretary shall act in the deputy\'s stead.

  • Fire Prevention Subsection Planning and implementation of firefighting equipment inspection, disposition of violations of fire safety laws, disaster prevention awareness, management and inspection of public hazards, and management and group training of fire safety managers.
  • Emergency Rescue Subsection Fire emergency rescue and response planning and assistance with other disaster response efforts, fire water supply management and utilization, aquatic safety awareness and emergency response, and integration, training, and utilization of volunteer firefighters and private rescue organizations.
  • Disaster Control Subsection Planning and implementation of the disaster prevention system and related services, implementation of disaster and accident response, typhoon and earthquake disaster prevention awareness, establishment, integration, and utilization of disaster prevention and relief resources, and handling of information services.
  • First-Aid Subsection Planning and implementation of the emergency first aid system, first aid technology, and assistance with large-scale emergency first aid efforts, planning, oversight, and evaluation of emergency first aid services, and liaison and coordination with medical and public health organizations.
  • Education and Training Subsection Planning and implementation of education/training/advanced study and compilation of teaching materials. Fire Investigation Subsection Investigation, assessment, and statistical analysis of causes of fires, and issuance of proof of fire.
  • Administrative Office Research, evaluation, document management, public relations, legal affairs, official seals, purchasing, property management, and service management.
  • Personnel Office Personnel management
  • Accounting Office Annual budget, accounting, statistics
  • Ethics Office Implementation of ethics tasks in accordance with law.
  • Disaster Relief and Rescue Command Center Planning, command, deployment, oversight, and evaluation of firefighting forces, and statistical analysis of disaster relief service results.
